BJP MLA from Karnataka writes to the PM against likely ban on Sanatan

Udupi (Karnataka): Sanatan Sanstha is a spiritual organization. Its seekers have been guiding people on spirituality and Dharma (righteousness) for the last two decades. Efforts are being made to impose a ban on such organization by falsely implicating it in the Mudgaon bomb blast case and I condemn these efforts. Decision should not be taken to impose a ban on Sanatan Sanstha. The above demand has been made by Mr. Raghupati Bhat, a BJP MLA to the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh through a letter.

Mr. Bhat has mentioned in the said letter to the Prime Minister, “I know the organization in my personal capacity. I am very proud of this organization. There is a tradition of Guru- Disciple being observed in this country from ancient times. H. H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale is a ‘Paratpar’ Guru. He is trying for spiritual upliftment of human culture. The organization has never supported any anti-social activity. It is very shocking that efforts are under way to impose a ban on such organization. If ban is imposed on this organization, not only the organization but even the country will face its adverse effects. The Government in a secular country must respect spiritual organizations in all religions.”

MLA Mr. Bhat writes to even the CM of Goa about ‘Chapter Case’ against H.H. Dr. Athavale !

A letter has been written by Mr. Bhat, MLA to even the Chief Minister (CM) Mr. Digambar Kamat of Goa in connection with the ‘Chapter Case’ filed by Goa Government against H. H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale, Sanatan Sanstha. Mr. Bhat has said in this letter that ‘The Goa Government’s filing ‘Chapter Case’ against H. H. Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale is very appalling. It is unrighteous. Similar case has also been filed against Mr. Veerendra Marathe, Pruthviraj Hazare and Nitin Sahakari who serve their Guru. I condemn this action taken by the Government. The Government should immediately withdraw the case because nobody, acting against Dharma and Guru, has ever been victorious. I hope that you will respect this view in the interest of this country.’
