Depiction of Shri Ganesh as human in the song ‘Thank God Bappa’ is His denigration !

On the occasion of Ganesh festival one actor has posted video of ‘Thank God Bappa’ on ‘U-tube’, in which Shri Ganesh is depicted as a human being as under :

1. Apart from illustrating selfish, corruption oriented tendency within the society, selfish, narrow -minded attitude as also bribery in the Police force has been pinpointed in the song and ‘Shri Ganapati not like such individual’ is being shown in this song. (How vices in man could be in God ? which is very ridiculous comparison. Such denigration of gods and deities are being done since people are not following religious norms and doing spiritual practice.- Editor) The purpose to enlighten society about wrong deeds might be there, but due to lack of religious education improper way is adopted.

2. There is denigration of Shri Ganesh dancing on the tunes of western music.

3. Its shown that, even after sad situation of Shri Ganesh idols after immersion, ‘Ganapati do not curse us and smilingly come next year’

It means ‘Even after committing blunders, God forgives us’ is the wrong message going to the society. On the occasion of Ganesh festival people come together in large number and such an opportunity should be utilized for providing religious education thereby strengthening their national honour.
