Outcome of HJS movement !
Pune: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and other pro-Hindu organizations held a press conference on 8th September to protest against lack of facilities at immersion ghats such as absence of safety railings, proper road etc and lodged a complaint with regional Commissioner for taking action against the PMC officers responsible for the lapse. A representation was submitted to PMC Commissioner Kunal Kumar on the above subject. It was pointed out to him that PMC’s promotion drive forcing ‘immersion of idols only in artificial water tanks’ erected by it, was also not proper. As a result, ‘only’ word has been removed from its advertisement. Kasba regional office of PMC carried out necessary changes for providing facilities and Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, Maharashtra State Coordinator of HJS was informed about the same by calling him on his cell phone. He was also advised to go and check the same.
