Nashik – Immersion of Ganesh idols, should be done traditionally in flowing water as per the scriptures. Shri. Balasaheb Sanap, expressed his support to the campaign, said this should be propagated widely. Shri. Balasaheb Sanap, MLA, BJP, reacted to an HJS memorandum requesting him to appeal to Devotees to immerse Ganesh idols in a traditional way.
Shri. Sanap gave instructions to his office staff to forward this memorandum to the Commissioner. Members of the Samiti made him aware of malpractices that take place during the Ganeshotsav and scriptural reasons behind immersing idols in flowing water. He was also appraised of the positive response this campaign was receiving in Nashik. Shri. Ravindra Sonaikar, Shri. Anil Patil and Shri. Shailesh Pote of HJS were present.
