Civil suit filed against ‘Dainik Lokmat’ claiming compensation for defamation of Sanatan Sanstha

Ramnathi (Goa) : Editor Raju Nayak of ‘Dainik Lokmat’ published an article under title ‘Sanatan Navhe ! Vikrut !’ although Sanatan Sanstha is well known in society for its extensive work in propagation of Dharma. This defaming article was published on 19th  June 2016, in supplement of its  Sunday  edition called ‘Hello Ravivar’. Such defamation has caused immeasurable loss to Sanatan. Sanatan Sanstha’s Managing Trustee Shri. Virendra Marathe has therefore, served a legal notice, through its legal adviser, Shri. Ramdas Kesarkar, to ‘Dainik Lokmat’s editor Raju Nayak, owner of ‘Lokmat Media Pvt. Ltd.’ and publisher Balaji Mule on 14th  July 2016; demanding to pay damages of Rs. 10 crores; but it has not fulfilled the demand of Sanatan Sanstha and as a consequence, its Managing Trustee  Shri. Virendra Marathe has filed a civil suit with Civil Judge (Sr. level), Ponda, Goa against Dainik Lokmat’s editor, owner, printer and publisher claiming damages of Rs. 10 crores, through pro-Hindu advocates viz. Gajanan Naik, Nagesh Takbhate, Kum. Deepa Tiwari and Ramdas Kesarkar.
