“Foundation for Interreligious Diplomacy” installs religious statesman Rajan Zed as Senior Fellow

Religious statesman Rajan Zed has been nominated as Senior Fellow of “Foundation for Interreligious Diplomacy”, who will also act as Religious Advisor on Hindu issues to the Foundation.

Headquartered in New York (USA) and launched in 2000, this Foundation is developing a worldwide diplomatic network among diverse religious groups in order to build trustworthy relations that improve chances for peace.  The Foundation seeks ways for religious groups to collaborate in joint humanitarian service.
 
Dr. C. Randall Paul, President of the Foundation, speaking of this appointment, said that Zed would be an exceptional trust-builder within and outside the worldwide Hindu community.  Paul noted Zed’s remarkable work in grassroots interfaith dialogue, as well as his international advocacy of religious rights.
 
Rajan Zed has taken up Hindu, interfaith, environmental, Roma and other causes in diverse places. He was invited by the president of European Parliament to promote interfaith dialogue and discuss Hindu issues. He read the groundbreaking first Hindu opening prayer in United States Senate in Washington DC. He is one of the panelists for “On Faith”, a prestigious interactive conversation on religion produced jointly by Newsweek and WashingtonPost.com. He has been bestowed with the “World Interfaith Leader Award”. He is president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, Director of Interfaith Relations of Nevada Clergy Association, and Spiritual Advisor to National Association of Interchurch and Interfaith Families.
