Only Scholars of Dharma can do the Interpretation of Dharma related matters and Not Anti Dharma person!

Mumbai: – If one person behaves in a wrong manner, one cannot say that the original ‘Dharma’ is wrong. One has to educate himself in matters related to Dharma to understand what is ‘Dharma’ and therefore, the interpretation of Dharma has to be done by the scholars and not by the adversaries of Dharma. Nowadays, rather than making efforts to understand ‘Dharma’, all wrong things are being emphasized and discussed. If improper things are taking place under the name of Dharma, such things have to be punished. As there are many quacks dispensing medicines which does not mean that the medical science is wrong; similarly, if few persons are behaving wrongly, it does not mean that the ‘Dharma’ is wrong. The above frank opinion was expressed by Shri. Abhay Vartak, the spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha in a program telecast on ‘Star Maaza’ channel.

The channel had held a discussion program in the background of fraud cases against  Nityanand Swami in Karnataka and Bhimanand from Delhi brought to light recently. The other participants in the discussion program, besides Shri. Vartak, were Dr. Kumar Saptarshi, Pratap Asabe, a political commentator and the chief editor of ‘Star Maza’, Mr. Rajiv Khandekar. (So far hundreds of cases of sex scandals have been unearthed involving Christian missionaries but why none of the channels have ever felt that such program should be held for Christians on this topic? – Editor SP)

Mr. Khandekar said that the present period is very unstable and therefore, the fake ‘sadhus’ are taking advantage of the same. People fall prey to their advertising machinery. (Sanatan wants people to learn about Dharma so that they know spiritual science and do not get cheated. – Editor SP) The devotees are exploited and our traditions and customs are slighted. Other religious organizations do not raise their voice or come forward to protest against such fake ‘sadhus’ but they try to cover up for each other. It is said that nobody has a right to say anything against the character of a Saint which is very dangerous. (It has been never said so in Dharma or by any Saint. It is the only expectation that one who is talking about such matter has knowledge of spirituality and spiritual practice. It is like only a doctor can give opinion about the diagnosis of another doctor. Similarly, only a Saint can comment about another Saint. – Editor).

Kumar Saptarshi said, “The followers of Dharma behave improperly but they cannot be stopped by Dharma, therefore, Dharma is bad. This cheating is going on for years together. Only now its dimension has become more expansive. The form of Dharma is loathsome. Symbols of Dharma are used to loot people.” (‘Sanatan Dharma’ which Mr. Saptarshi is branding as bad, gave us great Saints and leaders like Saint Dnyaneshwar, Saint Tukaram, Samartha Ramadas, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Swami Vivekanand, Yogi Arobindo, Swatantryaveer Savarkar etc. All of them have spent their life in studying Sanatan Dharma, for its protection and progress. All these great personalities have been revered by one and all but the statement made by Saptarshi shows his ignorance on the subject. – Editor SP)
