New Delhi: Currently the Hindu Saints are being humiliated by anti-Hindu elements stooping to very low standards such as tarnishing their image in society, leveling false allegations against them and reducing their security etc. This is an indication that a conspiracy is being hatched to suppress and then finish off the existence of Hindu Dharma. Preparations are also going on to ban pro-Hindu organisations.

As part of such a conspiracy, the Government is trying to ban Sanatan Sanstha by leveling false allegations against it. In order to protest against such anti-Hindu designs and to compel the Government to give due respect to Saints, pro-Hindu and Sikh organisations have conducted a spontaneous dharna agitation at Jantar-Mantar in New Delhi today, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The agitation which was organised by ‘Sanatan Sanstha’ had the participation of Swami Nityanand Saraswati; Mr. Premsing Sharama, President, Akhanda Morcha; Mr. Manoj Chaudhary, President, DUSU; Mr. Rajkumar Goel, President, Sanatan Sanskruti Jagruti Manch; Mr. Krushna Prakash, VHP; Mr. Sriram Kane, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti; Mr. Abhay Vartak, Spokesperson, Sanatan Sanstha; Ad. Horilal Sharma; Mrs. Sandip Munjal, Ranaragini; Bharat Jagruti Morcha, Patanjali and 150 of devout Hindus.

All the luminaries and Hindu Dharmabhimanis who participated in this agitation signed the memorandum and handed it to P. Chidambaram, Home minister of India. The memorandum contained some important appeals such as :

1. Not to ban Sanatan Sanstha that is actively working towards the protection of the Nation and Dharma.
2. To withdraw the ‘Chapter Case’, filed against H.H. Dr. Jayant Athavale by the Goa Police, with a false allegation of disturbing the social peace despite His confinement to His room for the past two and half years due to ill-health.
3. To take stringent action against the Police who did not take any action despite repeated written complaints against the anti-social elements for their attacks on Sanatan seekers and hurling of soda water bottles and pelting stones at the Sanatan Ashram at Goa for the past 90 days.
4. To restore the reduced security of Ramanandacharya Sri Narendracharya Maharaj who is involved in the glorious mission of taking converted Hindus back into their religion.
5. To take stern action against the Police who like goondas attacked and ransacked the Ashram of Saint Asaram Bapuji,
6. To denounce the arrests of Shankaracharya Swami Jayendra Saraswati of Kanchi Kamkoti Peeth and Saint HBP Bandatatya Karadkar by leveling false charges against them.
7. To take strict action against those who have made baseless allegations against Yog Guru Swami Ramdeobaba in order to malign his image etc.

A copy of this memorandum will be handed over to the Hon. President & Hon. Prime Minister the of India and the Chief Ministers of Goa and Maharashtra.
