Daravha (Dist. Yeotmal): A lecture by Keertankar Yogesh Maharaj, from Selu (Dist. Parbhani), a great scholar of the life history of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in ‘Sai Mangal Karyalaya’.
Keertankar Yogesh Maharaj said, “Nowadays celebration of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is done by the youth by blowing ‘gulal’ and dancing in hideous manner. This was not expected by Chhatrapati but to keep oneself physically fit so as to prevent the attacks on Dharma and strongly support the righteous will be the right manner to celebrate ‘Shiv-jayanti.”
Mr. Shrikant Pisolkar, the spokesperson of HJS explained about the signature drive undertaken by HJS against NCERT’s anti-Shivaji text book. He made an appeal to the people to join this drive in large numbers. Shri. Sanjaybhau Rathod, Shiv Sena MLA from Darva praised the activities of HJS and assured that Shiv Sena will actively support organization of such lectures to develop reverence towards Shivaji Maharaj and Dharma. The program was attended by more than 300 people.
Mr. Prashant Giri, Mr. Pradip Giri, Mr. Nikhil Giri, Mr. Swapnil Mapre, Mr. Amit Kaste, Mr. Dhakulkar and Mr. Gautam Ingale extended cooperation in organization of the lecture.
