Demand for prevention of wrong doings during celebration of Navratri festival !
Navi Mumbai : Many malpractices are observed in collective celebration of Navratri festival nowadays such as playing ‘garba’ on tunes of film songs; consumption of liquor; dancing with hideous body movements; collecting donation under intimidation; spending lot of money on decorations; gambling in pandals etc which result in destroying sanctity of the festival. In many newspapers, news items about increasing immoral acts and incidents of abortions during the period of festivals are published. Such wrong doings are causing immeasurable harm to nation and Dharma. On 3rd October, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted a representation to Police Commissioner of Navi Mumbai which was accepted by Joint Police Commissioner Madhukar Pandeya. Dr. Uday Dhuri, Shri. Vasant Sanas and Shri. Pankaj Amberkar submitted the representation. Joint Commissioner Pandeya promised them to create awareness amongst people towards such malpractices.
