Mumbai : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Ranaragini Division staged road-shows and self-defence demonstrations at various places during Navarati festival programs at Chembur, Ghodapdev, Sewree, Turbhe and Vasai during 4th to 7th October creating awareness amongst people. Sou. Nayana Bhagat of Ranaragini Division explained the science behind celebration of Navaratri festival, oppression of women in different ways and prevention of malpractices taking place while celebrating Navaratri festival. Information was also given on a campaign undertaken by HJS called ‘Ek Bharat Abhiyan – Kashmir ki aur’.
Road-shows on increasing anti-national activities in Kashmir and oppression of women; besides self-defence demonstrations were presented at ‘Om Sai Ganesh Mitra Mandal’ and ‘Jai Ambe Mitra Mandal’, Chembur; ‘Sarvajanik Navaratrotsav Sanlagna Bal Gopal Mitra Mandal’ at Ghodapdev; ‘Bal Mitra Seva Mandal’ at Sewree; ‘Maratha Mitra Mandal- Sector 21’ from Turbhe; ‘Dharmajagruti Seva Mandal’ from Vasai and at Pachu-Bundar. In all, about 750 devotees could attend these programs including all the above places. Good cooperation was extended from office bearers of all the ‘Mandals’ and their members. Many of them showed interest in joining activities related to protection of Dharma. These road-shows and demonstrations will be presented as per the demand of several ‘Navaratri Mandals’ in Mumbai and suburbs.
Highlights :
1. ‘Jai Ambe Mitra Mandal’ stopped their ‘Dandiya’ program in the middle and allowed presentation of road-show and self-defence demonstrations. Women from this ‘Mandal’ promised to find a suitable place soon for conducting ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes.
2. ‘Sarvajanik Navaratrotsav Sanlagna Bal Gopal Mitra Mandal’ from Ghodapdev bought 25 copies of book on love jihad for distribution among members of the ‘Mandal’.
3. ‘Maratha Mitra Mandal- Sector 21’ from Turbhe stopped their ‘dandiya’ program midway and granted permission for presenting road-show and self-defence demonstrations when more than 300 devotees were present. The road-show depicting grave situation in Kashmir was started with slogans of ‘Pakistan Zindabad’; therefore, patriotic children from the audience raised slogans of ‘Pakistan Murdabad; Bharat Mata ki Jai’ exhibiting their patriotism. Shri. Sandip Gole; Shri. Kiran Rajpure; Shri. Datta Shelar; Shri. Akshay Sanas; Shri. Nitin Jadhav and all members of the ‘Mandal’ extended cooperation in presenting the shows.
4. Shri. Pankaj Amberkar, Shri. Vaibhav Salunke, Shri. Prasad Nakil and Shri. Vasant Sanas took initiative in arranging the program at Turbhe.
5. ‘Bal Mitra Seva Mandal’ from Sewree granted permission to hold exhibition devised by FACT on atrocities against Kashmiri Hindus.
