Kullampalayam (Tamilnadu): A group of Christian evangelists had visited slums and houses from the village of Kullampalayam and few nearby villages of Palladam, Tiruppur district in Tamilnadu. Their main aim was forcible conversion to Christianity with the sugary talks and promises of providing free home, free food and jobs in foreign countries and other monetary benefits.

The enraged villagers with these illegal activities arrested the five priests naming Kannian,Pride,Mathew,Paulraj and Vincent. All of them belonged from Nagercoil. They were carrying the brochures depicting Hindu Religions and Hindu Gods as barbaric and uncivilized and glorifying Christianity in comparison with colourful pages.

Police from KamaNayakkampalayam reached Kullampalayam few hours later. After the discussions the five arrested priests were transferred to the custody of Police. But the Police didn’t take any strict action against. The priests were released with soft warning of not indulging in such activities again. Once again partiality was media was obvious and none of news channels even reported this instance except for few Tamil daily news papers who some place in the corner pages.
