Explanation given by Sanatan spokesperson, Shri. Abhay Vartak on discussion session held on Nikhil Wagle’s Maharashtra 1 TV channel and points presented by him
Mumbai : On 18th October 2016, Monday, discussion session was held on Maharashtra 1 TV channel on the topic of Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis attending a program with Jagatguru Narendracharya Maharaj. During the discussions, Shri. Wagle excluded the part in which I had participated and behaved in insulting manner with me; also threatening me with lodging complaint against me, with police. The whole Maharashtra knows Nikhil Wagle’s rudeness and clamorous ways; therefore, it is actually wrong to expect civility from him and it is not at all necessary to give explanation on the points made by clamorous Wagle but sensible people of Maharashtra need to know the truth in points mentioned by me and how reporters like Wagle hide truth under the guise of progressiveness. Therefore, I am giving my frank and clear views here, stated Sanatan Sanstha’s spokesperson Shri. Abhay Vartak, through a press release.
Shri. Vartak has stated in the press release that ….
1. On 12.08.2012, riots staged by fanatics on Azad Maidan were to show their sympathy for their fanatic brethren from Bangla Desh and Myanmar. They were anti-nationals.
2. Those people had not gathered to exhibit their patriotism. Fanatics had tried to create terror in a very systematic manner in the Capital of Maharashtra. Fanatics attacked reporters, media-persons; set their vehicles on fire; molested lady police staff, damaged monument like ‘Amar-Jawan Jyot’. It is my frank opinion that police should have taken stringent action against such anti-nationals and stopped them immediately.
3.The then Government not only avoided taking action but the then ruling party took a stand that the guilty anti-nationals would not be arrested for a week since Ramzan Eid was after a week and it was a shameful incident of ‘Raj-satta’ bowing before Muslim ‘Dharma-satta’.
4. Everyone including Nikhil Wagle knows that lady staff members in police in lower cadre are all Marathi women and it is also a known fact that the oppressors were fanatic jihadis. Therefore, in the background of incident like Kopardi, making mention of these incidents was not at all wrong. In fact, a coward reporter like Wagle did not either give any reaction for past 4 years or held discussions on the subject; therefore, he started shouting as I tried to expose his cowardice. Wagle made mention of the caste of aggrieved girl in Kopardi case and the accused in earlier discussions and he should now explain to Maharashtra as to why he is taking a different stand in Azad Maidan riots case.
5. Wagle should read out the statements given by the aggrieved lady police staff without reading their names in a public program and then should explain why he considers such incident as a very trivial matter, is my open challenge to him. I am very sure that the statements of the oppressed lady police staff would boil blood of any Marathi person. People should ask Wagle why his blood didn’t boil and how could he be so thick-skinned and shameless.
6. I will certainly submit papers if asked by police. Now people should ask Wagle when he is going to change his one-sided fascist mentality.
