HJS conducts Stress management lecture at Cholayil Pvt. Ltd, Chennai

Chennai: Hindu Janajagruti Samiti received a good response to the lecture on stress management conducted at Cholayail Pvt Ltd, Annanagar, Chennai on 31st March 2010. Cholayail Pvt is the manufacturer of Medimix and other products. About 25 employees attended the lecture.

Mrs. Umachandran explaining methods to overcoming stress

Mrs. Uma Ravichandran of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti explained the meaning of stress, the external and internal stress factors and detailed the various methods to overcome stress. These include Chanting, Prayer, Gratitude, increasing learning attitude, avoid giving reactions, developing attitude of accepting one’s mistakes, and doing actions according to others’ wishes rather than one’s own wish.

Further, Kumar Ganesh Shetti explained importance of Prayer, various stages of Prayer and how one can make effective prayers.

In the end few videos were shown which included clipping from a TV serial which induces stress and a clipping from the Mahabharata wherein positive qualities such as love, sacrifice etc are demonstrated by Lord Sri Krishna. These videos made it very clear to the employees how some situations can be stress inducing whereas others can be stress releasing.

Few of the employees got the doubts clarified and requested for the power point presentation so that they could share it with other colleagues who could not attend the lecture.
