Demonstrations by HJS at Amaravati

Amaravati (Maharashtra): The Government gives grant for Haj pilgrimage and levies tax on devotees going to Pandharpur. One should, therefore, unite against such secular Government and thwart the attempts of the unrighteous people to attack Hindu Saints and their worship centers. The above appeal was made by H. B. P. Shri. Shyamsundar Nichit Maharaj, the district President of Maharashtra Warakari Mahamandal during the demonstrations staged by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at local Rajkamal Chowk, Amaravati between 9.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon against the insult of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Hindu Saints.

Professor Gajanan Deshmukh, the President of Shivaraje Chhatrapati Pratishthan said on the occasion, “NCERT has set text books teaching distorted history to today’s young generation so that they do not learn the commendable history of Hindus. It is a ploy to take away Hindus from their Dharma and culture.”

The other eminent personalities participating in the demonstrations were H. B. P. Shaligram Khedkar, the District Vice-president of Maharashtra Warakari Mahamandal, Mr. Vijay Sharma and Mr. Ravibhushan Jaiswal of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Mr. Sharad Agrawal of Bajarang Dal, Mr. Nitin Vyas, Vidarbha-chief of ‘Chhava’ Organisation, Mr. Nandlalji Khatri of Vishwajagruti Mission, Mr. Hemant Khatri and Mr. Yogesh Malokar of HJS, Shri. Kiran Duse of Dharmashakti Sena, Miss Snehal Kamble and Mrs. Smita Thackeray of ‘Ranaragini’ besides Mr. Anil Javale, Mr. Prashant Munje, Mr. Ganesh Kadam, Mr. Ankush Pinjarkar, Mr. Akash Chikhalkar, Mr. Balawant Dige, Mr. Jagadish Shetye and many devout Hindus. The signature drive undertaken on the occasion received a very good response. Mr. Gajendra Kedia had arranged for cold drinks for the devout Hindu demonstrators.
