‘Issue of denigration of ‘Shiva-pindi’ at Kothure (Dist. Nashik)

Kothure (Dist. Nashik, Maharashtra): The miscreants had denigrated the ‘Shiva-pindi’ on Saturday night and burnt the ‘Dharmashikshan’ board displayed by Sanatan Sanstha. Home Minister preferred to keep silence in the matter on given a representation in this regard. In the meeting attended by thousands of the local villagers, protest was registered against the incident. Mr. Namdeo Gite presented the issue on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) followed with submission of representation to the Tehsildar. The atmosphere was quite tense.

Agitation to be intensified if culprits are not nabbed

Home Minister R. R. Patil had come to Nashik to attend a program. He made no comment on the representation submitted to him on the above issue due to the hustle and bustle. (Would the Home Minister have shown such apathy towards the problems of non – Hindus? It is only because the Hindus are not united that the Rulers can dare to avoid them ! – Editor SP) Today, there was a meeting of the natives. Mr. Rajendra Dhokale of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) said on the occasion that the agitation would be intensified if police did not find the culprits within two days. Sarpanch Mr. Ravindra Mogal said, “Till the idol-breakers are not nabbed, the ‘Shiva-pindi’ would not be re-installed.” (Congratulations to Mr. Dhokale and Mr. Mogal for promptly taking such strong stance against the idol-breakers ! – Editor SP)

HJS displays boards in 12 villages protesting against the incident

Mr. Gite of HJS said that the Government wants to grab money collected in Hindu temples; but it does not pay attention to such incidents. Will the Government, which is always kowtowing to non –Hindus, show such apathy towards the worship places of non – Hindus? Hundreds of incidents of damaging of idols have taken place in Goa and Maharashtra but the police have failed to apprehend the idol-breakers. All Hindus should, therefore, unite and follow up the matter vigorously. HJS has put up protest boards in 12 villages of Niphad Taluka. The Government should be compelled to take notice of the protest of Hindus. The police sub-inspector Desai assured to promptly investigate the matter and the police did investigate the matter the whole day.

Representation to Tehsildar

A representation signed by about 350 villagers was submitted to Tehsildar, Vitthalrao Sonawane. (The Hindus submit representations after their places of worship are damaged whereas non –Hindus take law in their hand. The Government, however, does not take note of religious sentiments of Hindus. Will the Government take responsibility of the outrage of Hindus if as a result of its apathy, they lose their patience ! – Editor SP) The other dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr. Ahirrao Guruji of RSS, Mr. Prakash Barde and Mr. Sanjay Jadhav of ‘Bhrashtachar Nirmulan Samiti’ and HJS members Mr. Gite, Mr. Vijay Shirsat, Mr. Shivaji Ugale etc.

‘Dharmashikshan’ board of Sanatan burnt

Shiva Pindi was burnt by Anti-Hindu miscreants

Kothure (Nashik, Maharashtra): In the 500 years old ancient temple of Lord Shiva, few miscreants severely damaged and denigrated the ‘Shiva-pindi’. There was a board displaying guidance on how to take ‘Shiva-darshan’ in Shiva temple by Sanatan Sanstha which was also burnt. (When damage was caused to a mosque in Ayodhya that was not in use by the Muslims, all the progressive people, media and secular started crying for the damage; but why are they now keeping quiet? It is only because Hindus are not united. Today, those, who have damaged the temple, may attack even Hindu houses tomorrow. There is no alternative but to extensive Hindu unity for fighting against such issues in lawful manner ! – Editor SP)

The ‘Shalunka’ of the ‘Shiva –pindi’ has been completely damaged by the miscreants and grains of Bajra were spread in the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. There was a picture of Shiva-devotee H. H. Janardanswami that has been torn. The cottage opposite the temple had a few pictures of Deities and some material which have been damaged. (All these things show the above action has been taken due to Hindu hatred. It has been the experience of Hindus that the secular (unrighteous) Government tries to put the blame in such matters on some maniacs and the police do not reach upto the real culprits. If Hindus are to be given justice, intense agitation has to be staged in lawful manner ! – Editor SP)

The above damage was first noticed by the devotees in the early morning who had gone for ‘darshan’ to this temple. The news spread in the whole village and everyone rushed to the temple. There is tense peace in the village. The locals held protest meetings and have asked the police to find the miscreants promptly. Hindus observed ‘bandh’ on this day. Shri. Anil Kadam, the MLA of Shiv Sena immediately had a meeting with the villagers and condemned the incident. About 1-1/2 years back, similar damage was caused even to the local ‘Shani’ temple.
