Karad (Dist. Satara) : Restrictions should be imposed on release of films which have Pakistani artists and patriotism be exhibited with unity; by not screening such movies, was the demand made through a representation recently submitted on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and ‘Hindutvavadis’ to theatre-owners of Karad. There are strong anti-Pakistani feelings all over India after Uri attack; but few selfish film producers are making cheap films with Pakistani artists. Granting permission to Pakistani artists for working in India is like rubbing salt into wounds of sacrifice of life of our Indian soldiers and their family members; moreover, it is an example of open sedition; therefore, such films should not be screened, was the demand made through the representation.

Shri. Tatoba Shevale, owner of Nataraj theatre and its Manager, Shri. Bhimrao Gaikwad promised that they would not screen films with Pakistani artists. Shri. Manohar Jadhav, Shri. Madan Sawant of HJS; Shri. Sachin Valekar and Shri. Rahul Yadav of ‘Hindu Ekata’; Shri. Omkar Made, Shri. Akash Dhavale of Shri Shivapratishthan and ‘Hindutvavadis’ viz. Shri. Vipul Kashid, Shri. Lakshman Pawar, Shri. B. S. Palekar and Shri. Shantanu Sutar were present on the occasion.
