Congratulations to residents for trying to protect temples with unity !

Navi Mumbai : Encroachment Department of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has served notice to 21 constructions declaring them as unauthorized; among them is one mosque and a durgah. The Encroachment Department has, however, started taking action only against temples and it has demolished 3-4 temples so far; but no action has been taken against the unauthorized mosque or the durgah. Moreover, the NMMC Administration has written a remark on the order that construction of the mosque and durgah would be regularized. A senior Police Inspector (PI) very insolently told the devotees when they approached him against demolition of temples that there was no need for them to teach him the law. (Are these police from India or Pakistan ? Have police and State Administration taken action against even one mosque so far, following Supreme Court’s orders ? How will such police maintain law and order when they are so full of bias ? Extensive Hindu unification is the only solution to bring change in this situation ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) All local citizens and devotees have now come together and decided to undertake a movement called ‘Ek ladhaa Devasathi (one fight for God)’. All pro-Hindu organizations have declared support to the fight undertaken by local residents.

Temple on a donated land termed as unauthorized and demolished !

Hanuman Temple located on the land of Shri. Abhijit Mhatre from Koparkhairane is said to be falling within the limit of fire brigade and has been served notice by NMMC. Shri. Mhatre had requested that the temple was a place of faith for local residents; therefore, temple should not be demolished and devotees be allowed to come for ‘darshan’. He offered to give another place next to the temple. NMMC, however paid no attention to his request and demolished the temple at 3.00 a.m. while police forcibly locked the priest and his colleagues in a police van. Police took away even their cell phones so that they would not be able to contact anyone. The land claimed by NMMC as belonging to fire brigade is in fact owned by grandfather of Shri. Abhijit Mhatre and its municipal taxes are also paid by him. The land was donated to fire brigade without charging them any money but there was no legal paperwork. Shri. Mhatre said that CIDCO has taken undue advantage of the situation and transferred the land in the name of fire brigade. (Instead of being grateful for donation of land by temple, the government officers, who pay no attention to the request of the donor, are most ungrateful ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Govt. administration ignores people’s demand !

The local residents had undertaken a movement when land from 28 villages was being acquired and it was decided that 12.5 % of the land acquired should be returned to the respective villages. Out of these 12.5 % of land, 3.75 % of land was decided to be used for facilities like temple, clinic, library, gymnasium etc. The local residents have demanded that temples should be included in the part of land to be used for facilities of local residents; but NMMC and CIDCO are ignoring residents’ demand, stated Shri. Mhatre.

Elected representatives turn their back to people’s sentiments !

The local residents have expressed intense displeasure over action taken by NMMC without considering religious sentiments of people. None of the elected representatives has, however, come forward to find solution to this problem; therefore, the residents feel that their elected representatives, who go to them only for getting votes, have let them down.

Action against a temple in Vashi stopped due to unity shown by Hindus !

After demolition of Hanuman temple at Koparkhairane, officers of NMMC reached Vashi Juhugaon on 21st October, early in the morning for demolishing Maruti temple at Sector 11. Then, large number of local residents, devotees and ‘Hindutvavadis’ immediately rushed to the temple as they came to know about the demolition. The temple could not be demolished by NMMC owing to the opposition of those people.

Temple was demolished even though CIDCO was handed over the ownership of the land ! – Abhijit Mhatre, landlord

When notices were issued to temples claiming them to be unauthorized, no notice was issued for the temple on my land. Construction work of fire brigade’s office was going on the land donated to them. I told them that I would hand over right of ownership to them and requested that let the temple be in its place for devotees; but they ignored my request and demolished the temple, was the regret expressed by Shri. Abhijit Mhatre. (Ungratefulness of administrative officers and police ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Let us unite and fight ! – Mangesh Mhatre , ‘Youth In-charge’, Navi Mumbai, Hindu Mahasabha

Trustees of all temples from 28 villages have come together and formed ‘Navi Mumbai Mandir Samiti’ for protection of temples. We will give fight with unity under the drive of ‘Ek ladhaa Devasathi’ for saving temples. Aggrieved people have also joined this drive. We are creating awareness amongst people towards the issue by holding ‘Maha-aarti’ and so far, organized ‘Maha-aarti’ in 4 temples. We will fight together keeping everything like our organizations, caste and creed, parties aside. (Congratulations to all Hindu brethren coming together for protection of temples ! All Hindus should keep these devout Hindus as ideal before them who have come together for protection of Dharma. Hindus need to realize that establishment of Hindu Rashtra with unity, is the only solution to prevent such attacks and they should take active part in related activities ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
