HJS demonstrates in Karnataka against celebrating Tipu Jayanti

Shivmogga : Karnataka Government has planned to celebrate birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan on 10th November. Pro-Hindu organizations staged demonstrations in front of District Collector’s office on 5th November to oppose such celebration of birth anniversary of a cruel king like Tipu Sultan. Members of ‘Anna Hazare Samiti’, ‘Black Boys Friends’ Club’, ‘Shivappa Nayak Abhimani Balga’, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha participated in the demonstrations.

Shri. Prasanna Kamat, the District Coordinator of HJS and Sou. Saumya Moger of Sanatan Sanstha addressed the demonstrators. Highlights

1. Permission for holding demonstrations was granted for all earlier demonstrations within half or one day but permission for demonstrations against Tipu Sultan’s birth anniversary was obtained after lot of follow up as permission was granted just a day before the day of demonstrations. 2. Police and Intelligence Department video-recorded the whole agitation. (Had police recorded ‘jihadi’ organizations’ programs and used their time for searching for terrorists, this country would have been freed of terrorism by now ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)  

Demonstrations held at Gadag

Lakshmeshwar : HJS and Ranaragini Division held demonstrations on 5th November at Lakshmeshwar in Gadag District. Shri. Prakash Madlur, the President of Sriram Sena for Lakshmeshwar accused the State Government of celebrating birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan only for Muslims’ votes. “Tipu Sultan converted many Hindus and destroyed several Hindus’ temples,” said Shri. Prem Shet, a devout Hindu. Sou. Shobha Itagi of Sanatan Sanstha and Kum. Sphoorti of ‘Ranaragini’ Division also addressed 35 demonstrators participating in the program. A representation demanding cancellation of celebration of birth anniversary of Tipu Sultan was handed over to Tehsildar for forwarding the same to the State Chief Minister.
