Congratulations to the Union Home Minister for cancellation of registration of MANS, Maharashtra under Foreign Contribution Regulation Act ( FCRA), Maharashtra ! – Sanatan Sanstha
Mumbai : The Union Home Ministry recently took action against more than 1000 Government and non-Government NGOs for negligence in renewal of licence for accepting donations under FCRA and cancelled their registration. ‘Andha-shraddha Nirmulan Samiti of Maharashtra (MANS)’ has come under purview of such action and for the next 5 years, this organization will not be able to accept donations from foreign donors. The above information was given through a press release by Shri. Abhay Vartak, the spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha.
Shri. Rahul Kolhapure, the reporter of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’, so also ‘Hindu Vidhidnya Parishad (HVP)’ had lodged complaints against MANS with the Home Department from time to time for its not submitting balance sheet and ‘income & expenditure’ statements for more than ten years. It was brought to the notice of the Charity Commissioner that MANS had submitted wrong information on foreign donations and therefore, it was not eligible for registration under FCRA. Recently, through a financial report submitted by the Charity Commissioner, giving account of financial misappropriations in MANS’ operations; along with proofs, it was brought to the notice of Union Home Ministry. We congratulate the Central Government for taking action against this organization which disregarded all laws of this country. We are sure that soon criminal cases would be filed against the guilty trustees, stated Shri. Abhay Vartak, the spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha in a press release.
