The Railway Ministry has taken a decision under the scheme of modernisation to beautify railway stations. Under this scheme, pictures based on the events in Ramayan and those so called valour of the Mugal king Akbar are going to be painted. Prayag, Kanpur, Kamakhya, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai etc. 28 railway stations have been selected for that. According to the history, In reality Akbar was a very barbarous ruler. He ill treated Hindus; but in the present history in place of this real side of Akbar, false description like he was very tolerant and generous king is given deliberately. This is in a way a distortion of history.

In this regard we are placing before you some points ……

1. Bharat is a land of men of valour. Many Hindu kings achieved victory by defeating the invaders from time to time. Many foreign invaders including Akbar attacked Bharat and looted villages, raped Hindu women, destroyed temples. When the people were very much disturbed by all these invasions, during various periods of history Hindu warriors protected the land of Bharat and Hindu sanskruti. The list of such kings like Maharan Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Dharmaveer Sambhaji Maharaj, Bajirao Peshava, Maharaj Bhoj, Guru Govindsingh, Samrat Krushnadev Rai, Harihar – Bukka Rai etc. is endless. All of them worked at the cost of their life to protect God, nation and Dharma. When there is such a glorious history of Hindu kings, why the railway Ministry is glorifying attacker and barbarous king like Akbar ?

2. Akbar’s strategy was to create discord between Hindu kings and extend the Islamic state. He locked thousands of Hindu women in his harem and raped them. He killed thousands of Hindus and arranged their heads like towers.

3. In democracy we cannot stop anyone from selecting a role model on personal level; but to take Akbar, barbarous and ill treating Hindus, as mighty and make the public to accept his distorted history is against the interest of the nation.

4. If atrocious Akbar is glorified then as minorities were very much appeased and injustice was caused to Hindus during Congress regime, Hindu society might feel that unfortunately even during the regime of BJP the same system continues.

5. The Railway Ministry wants to tell the history of Akbar; but why is it not ready to tell the glorious history from Samrat Chadragupta Mourya, Maharana Pratap, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi and others?, is a question of most Hindus.

Do not demoralise Hindu society by glorifying the barbarous king Akbar who ever ill treated Hindus. At the same time the Railway administration should not display any pictures that will betray their trust

Rashtriya Hindu Andolan will be organized for these demands.

New Delhi : Tales from the ‘Ramayana’ or heroic feats of Mughal Emperor Akbar may soon adorn the walls of several railway stations providing a visual treat to the travellers with the railways planning to revamp more junctions including Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus. (Govt should also take care that people do not spit or pee on the walls displaying tales of ‘Ramayana’ and historical feats, thereby insulting deities and historical figures ! – Editor, Hindujagruti) Twenty-eight railway stations across the country will be redeveloped as part of the railways’ mega modernisation programme for 400 stations.

Besides giving a facelift to these stations, the railways is laying emphasis on promoting diverse culture and heritage of the country. “A station will have to be developed along the lines of local architecture and history. To ensure this, we will also be setting up a committee comprising local people who will examine various proposals based on history and culture of that place,” a railways ministry official said.

These 28 stations have been identified from 14 different railway zones across the country. Their redevelopment will be undertaken by the respective zonal railways, which will initiate the bidding process. Some of the identified stations fall in cities such as Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Kanpur, Allahabad and Kamakhya in Assam.
