HJS to stage demonstrations against the proposed ‘Anti-Superstitons Act’

Mumbai: Under the influence of few atheists, the Maharashtra Government is once again trying to pass the anti-supertsitions Act that would eradicate faith of the people rather than superstitions. The Act has been given title of ‘Maharashtra Narbali (human sacrifice), Yauvan shoshan (exploitation of adolescence), amanavi (inhuman dreadful action) Act , 2005 to mislead the people so that its anit-Hindu nature did not get revealed; but in the draft of the Act, like the earlier draft, clauses recommending ban on religious activities, traditions, practices etc.have been included. The existing laws are in fact, capable but the Government is hatching a plan to pass this new Act.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) along with other organizations like Warakari Sampradaya, Sree Sampradaya, Keraliya Kshetra-parirakshan Samiti, Yogavedant Seva Samiti, Bharat Swabhiman, Raigad District Action Committee, Sanatan Sanstha and other pro-Hindu organizations will be holding agitations at Azad Maidan between 12. 00 to 5.00 p.m. on 21st April 2010.
