Yeotmal : On 13th November, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a meeting of members of ‘Sarvajanik Utsav Mandals (public festival committees)’ to discuss the stand of these committees on protection of nation and Dharma. 7 office bearers of Shri Durga and Shri Ganesh festival committees were present. It was resolved by the participating ‘Hindutvavadis’ to oppose various attacks on Dharma, in the background of proposed Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha scheduled to be held on 1st December.
Shri. Shrikant Pisolkar, District Coordinator of HJS for Vidarbha gave guidance on different modes of rendering service by the festival committees in the context of matters related to nation and Dharma. He also made an appeal to prevent malpractices taking place during celebration of these festivals and for uniting in the name of Dharma as was done by Chhatrapati Shivaraya. It was also resolved to undertake drive in every school for protection of culture; to oppose celebration of 31st December; besides having fortnightly meeting.
Around 30 members from various festival committees such as Jai Ma Bhavani Mandal, Jaiveera Durgotsav Mandal, Ekata Sharada Utsav Mandal, Jaimatadi Mandal, Swarajya Durgotsav Mandal, Hindu Rashtra Mandal, Sanatan Santha and Ranaragini Division attended the meeting.
We shall extend support to HJS as Hindus ! – Amol Deshmukh, municipal councilor
The meeting was also attended by Shri. Amol Deshmukh, municipal councilor of BJP. He said that it was necessary to impart ‘Dharmashikshan’ to school children for protection of our culture and HJS would be extended support by Hindus from Yeotmal.
