Advertiser apologizes to HJS for denigrating Lord Ganesh

Pune:An advertisement of ‘Poonam Electronics’ was published on page 16 in the Indian Express issue dated 30th August 2006. In this advertisement, Lord Ganesh has been shown in a dancing pose with a suitcase in his right hand. Shri. Surendra Mahajan, a member of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti met Shri. Vasu Matani, the advertiser and owner of Poonam Electronics and pointed out the denigration of Lord Ganesh in their advertisement. Shri. Matani accepted and apologized for the mistake. He also bought the books of Sanatan Sanstha on ‘Ganapati’, booklet in English and monthly ‘ Sanatan Prabhat’ in Hindi and English.
