Strong demonstrations even on the second day against the denigration of Lord Krishna

Vrundavan: Staunch Hindus held strong demonstrations against the priests of the famous ‘Banke-Bihari’ temple for dressing up the idol of Lord Krishna in jeans and tee-shirt and giving a cell phone in His hand instead of the flute. The idea of showing Lord Krishna in such attire was of the Chief Priest Shri. Anand Goswami.

A case has also been filed against the priest for ridiculing the idol by dressing Him up in modern attire. The Hindu Yuva Vahini and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti have demanded that strict action should be taken against the priest. The local shops were kept closed to protest against this incident.

In the meanwhile, Shri. Purushottam Das, a member of HJS who is creating awareness among people about this incident, got a threat from the supporters of Shri. Goswami, the ‘Dharma-Drohi’ (anti-religious) priest. When Shri. Das was talking to the media persons, supporters of Shri. Goswami went there and threatened him for leveling charge against their Guru. Shri. Das along with the media persons present there lodged a complaint with the police on receipt of such threat. But no arrests have been made so far.

Shri. Das resolve to work for Hindu dharma

While taking with the reporter of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ Shri. Das states that this threat will not affect him and he will continue with the work for Hindu Dharma. He has accepted this work with firm determination and will work more enthusiastically in future.
