Madhav’s reaction came a day after Rajasthan State Home Minister Shanti Dhariwal alleged that Devender Gupta, the man behind the 2007 Ajmer blasts was a member of the RSS.

Interacting with media, RSS national executive committee member, Ram Madhav said Sangh’s name was being dragged into the case to malign its image.

"Efforts are being made to drag the name of Sangh in the Ajmer blast case, innocent people and organisations like Sangh are being maligned," Madhav said.

He demanded that the ongoing probe into the blast should continue to get to the bottom of the truth.

On Friday, Dhariwal also said that the Rajasthan Government was investigating the role of Hindu organisations like RSS in relation with the blast.

Earlier, another senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar said Dhariwal should check his facts before drawing conclusions.

Two arrested persons in the 2007 Ajmer Dargah blast case, Chandrashekhar and Devendra Gupta, are alleged to be members of the terror module involved in the blast which killed three persons.

Gupta is allegedly linked with Abhinav Bharat Sangathan.

Rajasthan Anti Terror Squad (ATS) produced Gupta before Ajmer court, which sent him to 12 days police custody.

"Gupta was produced before the Ajmer Chief Judicial Magistrate, who remanded him to 12-day police custody. He will be produced again on May 12," an ATS official said.

Officials are also probing Gupta”s alleged link with Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, a suspect in the Malegaon blast case.

They said Gupta was staying in Jharkhand and had come to Ajmer on Wednesday. A SIM card recovered from the blast site helped police trace him, they said.
