HJS lodges complaint against DAG Modern for displaying M F Husain’s art work

Police initially try to avoid taking down complaint ! Devout Hindus kept waiting for 45 minutes at the police station !

If a complainant is kept waiting instead of allowing to lodge complaint, it is unnecessary punishment to him. Complaint should also be lodged against such police with their senior officers !

Naked Bharatmata - Hussain has shown a naked woman with names of states written on different parts of her body. He has used the Ashok Chakra of the Tri-colour in the painting. By doing this he has violated the law & hurt the National Pride of Indians. Both these things should be of grave concern to every Indian irrespective of his religion.

Mumbai : DAG (Delhi Art Gallery) Modern from Fort, Kala Ghoda, Mumbai has organized an exhibition of Hindu-hater M F Husain’s paintings under the titles of ‘Indian Modern Art from 20th Century’. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) lodged a complaint with Mata Ramabai Ambedkar police station on 26th November against this exhibition. Shri. Prasad Mankar of HJS, who had gone to Colaba police station to lodge complaint, was made to wait for 45 minutes by the police instead of accepting his complaint. Shri. Prabhakar Bhosale, the President of ‘Shri Shivakarya Pratishthan’ (Vikhroli) was also with Shri. Mankar. Finally, the complaint was registered at Mata Ramabai Ambedkar police station. Police Inspector (PI) Vijay Mali said to the complainants that if action was taken against M F Husain’s paintings, it would be like bowing before them; therefore, he initially avoided taking down the complaint. (Police don’t even know that their ‘khaki’ uniform is meant for citizens to get justice and not for bowing before anyone ! Will people feel any closeness for such police who talk to citizens in this manner ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) PI Mali was explained about the indecent pictures of Hindu Deities, nude Bharatmata’s picture etc drawn by M F Husain after which he lied to the complainants that the senior PI Vijay Dhopavkar was not available and would come after half an hour; when in fact, senior PI Dhopavkar was taking rest in his cabin. He came out of his cabin after 45 minutes. Devout Hindus realized that PI Mali had lied to them; therefore, he told them, that the senior PI was working till late in the previous night; therefore, he was resting. (Liar police ! Will police, who lie to ordinary citizens, do justice to them ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) The devout Hindus then told PI Mali that had he told them the truth, they wouldn’t have waited for so long at the police station; on which PI Mali said that police have lot of work pressure. Later, when devout Hindus met senior PI Vijay Dhopavkar, he said that DAG Modern didn’t come under jurisdiction of his police station and advised them to go to Mata Ramabai Ambedkar police station for lodging complaint. (Will police, not taking any action against artist drawing indecent pictures of Hindus’ Deities, give such instructions to non-Hindus ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Police went with devout Hindus to get information; but avoided taking any action !

Devout Hindus then went to Mata Ramabai Ambedkar police station to lodge complaint. Senior PI Sukhlal Varpe asked them in intimidating manner whether they had copy of Court’s order which stated that displaying paintings of M F Husain was no allowed. The devout Hindus asked him reasons for his shouting at them. Then he listened to what they had to say. (Police don’t know how they should behave with citizens ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat) Senior PI Varpe sent 2 police officers with devout Hindus for meeting Manager of DAG Modern where only police officers went inside and had discussions with the manager. Later, they came out and informed devout Hindus that the manager would see if any alternative could be found; which was only to get out of the situation; but complaint was taken down by them after going back to the police station.
