HJS demonstrates at Akola against selling of cows to butchers by Pandharpur Temple Committee

Akola (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) staged demonstrations and signature drive to protest against the sale of cows to butchers by the Government’s committee managing Sree Vitthal Mandir at Pandharpur. The campaign received good response from devout Hindus.

Mr. Shrikant Pisolkar of HJS, Mr. Gowardhanji Sharma a BJP MLA and Dr. Olambe Patil of BJP, Mr. Monu Ghuman of Bajarang Dal, Dr. L. P. Diwane, District-President of Avtar Meher Baba Sampradaya addressed the participants. H. B. P. Girish Maharaj Kulkarni and H. B. P. Shrikrushna Sinnarkar Maharaj explained the specialities of ‘Gou-mata’ and its various uses in Hindu Dharma. About 200 workers including 50 workers of HJS, Mr. Ramesh Bajaj and Prashant Patil of ‘Gorakshan Sanstha’, devout Hindus viz. Mr. Vikrant Raje, Mr. Ravi Devane, Mr. Prakash Chauhan, Mr. Kishan Dorkar, Mr. Mr. Satish Chautmol, Mr. Prakash Panzade, Mr. Raju Kshirsagar, Mr. Ganesh Kuvale, Mr. Vilas Tale, Mr. Vinayak Chatti, Shiv Sena municipal councilor Mr. Rajesh Mishra,  Mr. Ravindra Gondhalekar etc. took part in the demonstrations. The representation to be submitted to the Chief Minister and Governor in this regard was signed by 750 devout Hindus and it was later submitted to Dy. District Collector Mr. Pramod Deshmukh.

HJS demonstrated at Niphad (Dist. Nashik)

Similar representation was submitted on behalf of HJS to the zonal officer of Niphad taluka, Dattatreya Borude and Tehsildar Bansode which was signed by 500 devout Hindus. Another representation to withdraw ‘chapter case’ filed by Goa Government against H. H. Dr. Athavale was also submitted on the occasion. Mr. Nilesh Bora, Mr. Sandip Ghayal, Mr. Prakash Waghchaure, Mr. Sanjay Lambe, Mr. Govinda Bhagavat, Mr. Balasaheb Mokate, Mr. Deepak More, Mr. Vijay Shirsath, Mr. Swapnil Rajole etc. of HJS were present while submitting the representations.
