Huge vehicle procession taken out to advertise about Dharmasabha to be held at Jalgaon

More than 700 vehicles and 1500 devout Hindus spontaneously participated in the procession

Jalgaon : Amidst slogans raised such as ‘Har Har Mahadev’, ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharajancha Vijay Aso’, ‘Jayatu Jayatu Hindu Rashtram’ and saffron flags, Jalgaon city resonated with these slogans and had ‘saffron look’. Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha(sabha)  is proposed to be held on 25th December at Jalgaon. More than 1500 devout Hindus and more than 700 vehicles including two/ three/ four wheelers participated in the procession. They resolved to hold Hindu Dharmnajagruti Sabha successfully.

On 22nd December, the vehicle procession was started at 10.00 a.m. with blowing of conch; followed with ‘pujan’ of ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ by H.B.P. Mangesh Maharaj Joshi, the ‘Gaadipati’ of Jalgaon’s ‘Gram-devata’. Sanatan’s Saint ‘Pujya’ Nandkumar Jadhav broke coconut. Shri. Yogeshwar Joshi guruji supervised ‘puja’ of ‘Dharma-dhvaj’. The rally was started from Khandesh Central Maidan and taken through different main roads. It was concluded at Shivateertha Maidan. Devout Hindus from more than 15 pro-Hindu organizations from rural and city areas participated in the procession wearing saffron turbans and traditional dresses, carrying saffron flags. Many young men, women and children so also senior citizens joined the procession. ‘Dharma-dhvaj-puja’ was performed on the route of the procession at different places by devout Hindus including BJP-MLA Shri. Rajumama Bhole, BJP-Yuva Morcha’s Shri. Nilesh Pawar etc. and they showered flowers over the procession.

The vehicle procession was concluded at Shivateertha Maidan where Shri. Daivesh Redkar of Sanatan Sanstha, advocate Govind Tiwari of Hindu Mahasabha, Shri. Prashant Juvekar, Jalgaon District Coordinator of HJS addressed the participants and made an appeal to them to attend the ‘sabha’. Shri. Sunil Ghanavat, Maharashtra State Coordinator of HJS, ‘Pujya’ Nandkumar Jadhav, ‘Prasar-sevak’ of Sanatan Sanstha were also present on the occasion. MLA Shri Rajumama Bhole, Barabalutedar Samaj and Nabhik Mahasangh’s Shri. Rajkumar Gawali and other dignitaries garlanded the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Highlights

1. Many young men joined the procession, in groups, on two-wheelers carrying saffron flags.

2. Citizens and college students stopped on the way to watch the procession with curiosity.

3. Citizens were recording the procession on their cell phones at some places.

4. Small students going to school on route of the procession were raising slogans of Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji.

5. A devout Hindu joining the procession carried a parrot on his shoulder till the end.

Special incidents

1. More than 40 devout Hindus from Dhamangaon, Avar, Nandra, Kanalda etc. participated in the procession.

2. Police Constable Vaibhav Malkantewar from Akola was felicitated on the occasion by ‘Pujya’ Nandkumar Jadhav for winning title of ‘Jalgaon-Shri.’

3. Sou. Mangla Bari of Shiv Sena- women’s front joined the procession despite fracture of her hand.

Feedback from local residents of Jalgaon

1. We are proud of this procession. We shall certainly attend the ‘sabha’.

2. Such ‘sabhas’ and processions should be arranged even in Bengal since they are much needed there.

3. A senior police officer said while commending HJS activities that the procession took place in disciplined manner due to HJS’ planning. Owing to HJS volunteers, burden on police came down by 60%. It is the experience of police that all HJS programs are held in disciplined manner.

Jalgaon : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has organized Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha on December 25th. Invitation to the ‘sabha’ was extended during BJP’s District meeting held on 21st December to MP Shri. A. T. Nana Patil and BJP’s District President, Shri. Uday Wagh. He promised to attend Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha and bring all activists with them.”
