Pujya (Dr.) Pingale visits JNU’s Sanskrut Dept head Dr. Girishnath Jha

New Delhi : ‘Pujya’ Dr. Charudatta Pingale, national Guide of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and a representative of Maharshi Adhyatma Vishwavidyalaya (MAV) recently paid a goodwill visit to Dr. Girishnath Jha, the Head of Sanskrut Department of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). ‘Pujya’ Dr. Pingale explained to him the purpose of setting up MAV and showed him a video-film. Shri. Pranav Manerikar and Sou. Kshipra Juvekar of MAV were also present on the occasion.

Dr. Jha had offered an opportunity to researchers of MAV for presenting paper during international Sanskrut conference held by JNU on 18th December.

Dr. Jha said, “People with leftist ideology oppose to Sanskrut at JNU. According to them, Sanskrut language is against development and meant only for high society people. ‘Shudras’ and women have been prohibited from reading ‘Vedas’. The building assigned to Sanskrut Department is in the shape of a ‘swastik’; therefore, there is opposition by leftist wing of JNU even to the building. We need scholars who will successfully argue against wrong information spread about Sanskrut and we shall invite you for the same.”

5. Dr. Jha was very humble although he is the Head of the Department. Dr. Jha reached late for the meeting with ‘Pujya’ Dr. Pingale; therefore, he immediately rendered apology with folded hands as soon as he reached.

Points noted about JNU

1. JNU is located in a deserted area.

2. Names of the students’ hostels are given after rivers e.g. Chandrabhaga, Sutlej, Godavari etc

3. Staff working in Sanskrut Department appeared to be ‘sattvika’ and cultured.

4. The building of Sanskrut Department is in the shape of a ‘swastik’.
