‘Journalists need to take note of activities taken up selflessly by organizations for social reforms’

Pandharpur : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has been selflessly working for social welfare. It undertakes many drives which are beneficial for people; creates social awareness and patriotism amongst people so also opposes attacks on Dharma. Organizations like HJS working selflessly for bringing social reforms need to be taken note by reporters and be given right publicity, stated Shri. Ajay Kelkar, a representative of ‘Dainik Sanatan Prabhat’ and a volunteer of HJS while speaking during a discussion program held on 6th January (Patrakar Din) at Pandharpur on the subject of ‘Expectations of social organizations from journalists and responsibilities of organizations’.

Sou. Sadhanatai Bhosale, Mayor of Pandharpur, Police Inspector Krushnadev Kharade, Shri. Balasaheb Badave, a senior journalist, Shri. Dattatreya Khatvate, new President of ‘Patrakar Sangh’, Munnagir Gosavi, father of soldier Kunal Gosavi who sacrificed his life for the nation were some of the dignitaries present on the occasion. Shri. Sanket Kulkarni, reporter with ‘Tarun Bharat’ welcomed all participants and did compeering of the program. Shri. Aniruddha Badave explained the purpose of holding such program.

Shri. Ajay Kelkar said further, “Reporters of newspapers when compile news about Hindus’ problems or any incident, they should realize that they are also a part of this society; understand the sentiments of Hindus and bring forth the reality.” Many office bearers and activists from different social organizations were felicitated on the occasion. Few reporters, along with office bearers of Rotary Club, Warkari Sampradaya, ‘Grahak Panchayat’ and Municipal Corporation expressed their views.

Mayor Sou. Sadhanatai Bhosale said while concluding the program, “I agree with the problems presented by you. I am with you for solving problems related to the city. Your suggestions will be noted down and action will be taken.” H.B.P. Ramkrushna Veer Maharaj, Shri. Sunil Valunjkar, Shri. Prashant Waghmare, PRO of ‘Prathamik Shikshak Sangh’, Dimple Ghatge, a social worker, senior journalist Satyavijay Moholkar and Shri. Sanjay Waikar etc were present.

Shri. Ajay Kelkar along with few other social workers, was felicitated on behalf of ‘Pandharpur Patrakar Sangh’ and ‘Shramik Patrakar Sangh’, Pandharpur during the discussion program by presenting mementoes.
