‘Hindutvavadis’ submitting representation to Manager of Metro theatre

Don’t release films like ‘Raees’ which glorifies anti-nationals and ‘Mohalla Assi’ denigrating Hindus’ religious faith !

Jalgaon : Pakistani actress Mahira Khan has played a role in film ‘Raees’ which glorifies mafia; whereas in film ‘Mohalla Assi’, there is denigration of Shri-kshetra Kashi, a holy pilgrimage place revered by billions of Hindus. Both the films are going to be released in January 2017. These films are against nation and Dharma, therefore, should not be screened, is the demand made by ‘Hindutvavadis’ through a representation submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). The representation was submitted to 6 main theatres in Jalgaon viz. Rajkamal, Ashok, Natwar, Regal, Metro and Inox. Similar representation was also submitted to Tehalsidar, Bhusaval and at Vasant and Pandurang theatres. Shri. Chandrakant Patil, District-Chief of Shiv Sena was present when the representation was submitted to Tehasildar of Bhusaval. Members of Bajarang Dal, VHP, Chhava Kranti Sena, Yuva Sena, Shivapratishthan, Swarajya Pratishthan, Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Samaj, RSS etc along with other devout Hindus also joined the drive.

It has been stated in the representation

1. There is desecration of Bhagavan Shiva and holy pilgrimage place Shri-kshetra Kashi in Hindi film ‘Mohalla Assi’. Distorted incidents and dialogues depicted about Hindus’ places of pilgrimage, Saints and Seers etc would create wrong impressions about Hindu Dharma amongst people and will also hurt religious sentiments of Hindus. Kashi is a world known holy place which is visited by hundreds of tourists from other countries, with faith. Therefore, the defamation likely to occur at international level should be stopped.

2.After Pakistan’s terrorists’ attack at Uri, all Indians have very strong feelings against that country; even then, few film-makers from India are casting Pakistani actors in their films for monetary gains and producing films like ‘Raees’. Pakistan has been constantly busy in anti-India propaganda and activities; therefore, granting permission to Pakistani actors for working in India is like showing disregard towards sacrifices made by Indian soldiers and it will be sedition.

3. Recently, a video has been released of Mahira Khan in which she has made a statement that ‘there was nothing in India which is worth taking inspiration’ which is quite infuriating.

4. Ban should therefore, be imposed on two films viz. ‘Raees’ and ‘Mohalla Assi’.
