Vardha (Maharashtra): The management of Sree Vitthal Mandir under the control of the State Government recently sold cows to butchers at Pandharpur. A memorandum was submitted to the District Collector of Vardha by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in this connection. The District Collector forwarded it to the Charity Commissioner, Vardha for necessary action. Mrs. V. A. Patravale, the Assistant Charity Commissioner, Vardha has issued an order to the Temple Trustees that they should take care that incidents like selling of cows to butchers do not take place in future.
