HJS volunteers keep ideal before others by singing all stanzas of ‘Vande Mataram’ during a Government program on the Republic Day !
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had made a demand with Tehasildar of Kunigal in Karnataka that all stanzas of ‘Vande Mataram’ should be sung during Government’s program held on Republic Day. But Tehasildar informed that there was nobody who could sing the whole song ‘Vande Mataram’. At this time, HJS volunteers offered to sing the whole song and they did so during Republic Day program. Commendable act, worth emulating, of Unchgaon Panchayat and local residents who hoisted national flag and saffron flag on Republic Day !
On 26.1.2014, Gram Panchayat and local devout citizens hoisted national flag so also a saffron flag on Republic Day at Unchgaon (Kolhapur) since they thought that giving importance to Dharma was more necessary than development work undertaken at that place. National flag is required to be hoisted on Republic Day; still saffron flag waved in Bharat as per our age-old traditions is a sign of emphasizing our identity was the sentiment behind taking such action. Shri. Dhanaraj Gulawe, a devout Hindu took initiative in passing few resolutions in connection with nation and Dharma in the Gram-sabha. (6.2.2014)
Regimes of Maurya, Kadamba, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj were truly Republic !

Republic Day is for revival of Indian languages, way of dressing and thinking; for independence and stability of the country
Great national leaders, who sacrificed their life, were inspired by Sanatan Dharma. Can we live as one country if we forget them ? It is the crucial question raised on the occasion of Republic Day. There are problems like imported language and culture; along with ancillary problems like corruption, inflation, black money and terrorism. Our own language, way of dressing and thinking, if re-established, will help in survival of democracy and stability of Bharat. This Republic Day has come as if to give the message of acceptance of this only truth and move on. (Ref: Geeta Swadhyay, January 2013)
