‘Matru Pitru Din’ celebrated at Ghatkopar (Mumbai)< HJS participates

Ghatkopar : ‘Shri Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti’ and ‘Yuva Seva Sangh’ celebrated ‘Matru-Pitru Din’ on 14th February in the presence of representatives of many pro-Hindu organizations.

Views expressed by dignitaries

Shri. Sunil Dubey, the Convener of the program said, “Presently, the number of senior citizens, who are not properly looked after by their own children, is increasing rapidly. The Government is also worried about the new social problem created under the influence of modernity; but it has been observed that the effect of undertaking such drives as ‘Matru-Pitru Pujan Divas’, is increase in paying due respect and love to parents; therefore, this program was organized.”

Shri. Paras Rajput, a staunch ‘Hindutvavadi’ said, “Celebrating Valentine Day means imitating immoral western culture and devaluation of Hindu culture ! We are not following Hindu culture but blindly imitating western culture. His Holiness Asaramji Bapu had realized this attack on Hindu culture and had made an appeal to celebrate ‘Matru-Pitru Pujan Din’; therefore, millions of his devotees are performing ‘pujan’ of their parents and it is in a way putting curb over wrong practice like ‘Valentine Day’.”

‘Brahman Ekata Seva Sanstha’s President Shri. Akhilesh Tiwari said, “Festivals celebrated under Sanatan Hindu Dharma teach morality and good virtues whereas western customs like Valentine Day teach immorality and misbehaviour. Nowadays, Sanatan Hindu Dharma and Saints are under constant attack through a planned conspiracy. Let there be Government of any party, Hindus would not henceforth, tolerate injustice. Its reverberations will be heard all over India.”

Dr. Uday Dhuri, the spokesperson of HJS said, “The Government should immediately withdraw suspension of Shri. Tanaji Ghadage, an officer who had issued order related to celebration of ‘Matru-Pitru Din’. Maharashtra Government should make it known to people what action was taken against the officer who had issued an order imposing ban on displaying pictures of Deities in Government offices.”
