Mr. Shivaji Vatkar told Mr. Naik, “The proposed anti-Superstitions Act is in fact, against customs and traditions followed according to Hindu Dharma, Hindu culture and can put an axe on performing ‘puja’, ‘sacred fire’ etc even in the temple. The proposed Act is the same draft used for the earlier proposed Act and the Government is trying to pass the same Act by only changing the title of the Act; therefore, people are very much annoyed.”
Mr. Naik said, “Call a meeting of temple trustees from Navi Mumbai, Hindu Organizations, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), devout Hindus urgently. I will attend the meeting wherein there will be discussions on injustice done to Hindu Dharma and anti-Hindu laws and future course of action will be decided.”
The delegation consisted of Dr. Uday Dhuri, Mr. Ramesh Sanil, Mr. Rajan Bhurke, who are all members of HJS, Mr. Ravindra Mannanur of Keraliya Kshetra Paripalan Samiti and Mr. Sanjay Nikam, a devout Hindu.
