Pro-Hindus attacked ‘Headlines Today’ office for defaming Hindus

New Delhi: An attempt was made by one English news channel called ‘Headline Today’ belonging to ‘India Today’ periodical through a ‘sting’ operation to show Hindus as terrorists. Today, hundreds of Hindus enraged due to such defamation marched to the office of the channel at Zandwalan and damaged the office. (This is the effect of anti-Hindu news channels which have been constantly spitting venom against Hindus and the equally anti-Hindu Congress Government that has never tried to rein such channels ! – Editor SP)

The attack was due to the news shown on ‘Headline Today’ news channel. Yesterday, recording made through a laptop camera of Dayanand Pande, an accused in Malegaon bomb blast case, was telecast by the channel. It was a recording of a so-called meeting and the conversation that took place between Dayanand Pande, Lt. Col. Prasad Purohit and B. L. Sharma, a former MP of BJP. It was shown by the channel that a plan of attacking all mosques in the country was being hatched in the said meeting. The channel also tried to show how Hindus were also terrorists. The furious Hindus reached the office of the channel in the evening around 5.00 p.m. in a rally and damaged the office by forcing themselves in. ‘Editors’ Guild, ‘Broadcast Association’ and other media have condemned the attack. (First blabber anything about a certain community, especially harmless Hindus; make false allegations againt them and thoroughly malign them; if such community tries to protest in lawful manner, ignore their protests and finally when such indifference leads to their outburst resulting in some action, then start shouting against them under the guise of freedom of expression. The media have such audacious mentality! Hindus have experienced such mentality on several occasions. This incident shows that the citizens teach a lesson to those who indulge in ‘yellow journalism’ ! – Editor SP)

We did not refer to RSS – Rahul Kanwal, Editor of ‘Headline Today’

‘Yesterday, we had not mentioned RSS anywhere in our news; even then, RSS has attacked us. (RSS has already clarified that it was not involved in the attack. Rahul Kanwal is, however, misguiding people by accusing RSS ! – Editor SP) We showed the recording made on the laptop of Dayanand Pande. The ‘Forensic Lab’ has certified that the recording is authentic. If they had objection to this news, they could have contacted the channel and registered their protest or even filed a case in Court; but such direct attack is wrong. (The channel can see the direct attack by Hindus; but they are not bothered for directly insulting Hindus by calling them terrorists. Had Hindus still registered protest in lawful manner, would the channel have the decency to render apology? In fact, Hindus were probably sure that the channels would not do such thing and that’s why they took such a step ! – Editor SP)

‘Ban RSS’, demand Paswan and Laluprasad Yadav

This is an attack on the freedom of the media. (Yadav and Paswan support unrestrained behavior under the guise of freedom of expression ! – Editor SP) RSS should, therefore, be banned, demanded LP Yadav and Paswan. (Few years back, NCP workers had attacked ‘ZEE 24 Taas’ a Marathi news channel; but how come Yadav and Paswan never demanded to put a ban on NCP? – Editor SP)

Anti-Hindu ‘Headline Today’ news channel

‘Headline Today’ has always tried to malign Hindus. The channel had earlied defamed Mr. Pramod Mutalik, the President of ‘Sreeram Sena’ through a ‘Sting’ operation. It was published by the channel that Mr. Mutalik charges money for going ritoing. Mr. Mutalik has, therefore, sued the channel for libel. After this, now, the channel has telecast yesterday’s news to brand Hindus as terrorists.

Pro-Hindus thundered

‘Headlines Today’ channel showed so-called ‘sting’ operation on ‘Hindu Extremism’ and tried to depict RSS and other pro-Hindu organizations as terrorists which led to outburst of Hindus and they charged on the channel’s office located in Delhi. All mass-media have held RSS responsible for the attack. Even if it is presumed that RSS did carry out such attack, we will have to say that the sticks of RSS flashed like lightening. It was evident from the clippings shown on different channels that there was a kind of vehemence and spontaneity among the attacking Hindus; there were not just Hindu youth but also girls, women, people from middle age group, senior citizens i.e. all age groups, all had taken part in the agitation. This showed that the reaction was from all strata of Hindus. Although the news channels are claiming that it was an attack on journalism; there is no meaning in their accusation because when there is action; there is bound to be reaction and this attack was also natural. The mass-media have been responsible to deride pro-Hindu organizations as ‘Hindu terrorists’ for the last two years who are in fact, carrying out activities towards protection of Nation and Dharma in a lawful manner. It was, therefore, but natural that one day such outbreak was expected. Today’s incident can be said as just an excuse. It is a proof that tolerance power of Hindus has come to an end.

When democratic path is followed?

Rahul Kanwar, editor of ‘Headline Today’ said while expressing his views on the channel that ‘The ‘Sangh’ sevaks should have followed the path of democracy; they could have taken legal action; but such ochlocracy is condemnable’. It is a theory accepted world-wide that where democracy is practiced as ‘the rule by the people for the people’, agitations staged in democratic manner are successful; but where there is exhibition of suppression, favouratism, insensitivity, hatred, jealousy, the democratic way of protesting like taking out rallies, demonstrations, hunger strike etc. has no place and therefore, if Hindus feel that such language of aggression needs to be used against the biased and insensitive mass-media, there is nothing wrong with that.

Hindu hatred and suppression by ‘Aaj Tak’

It looks as if there is a competition among all mass-media as to who can spit venom against Hindus with maximum intensity; let it be ‘IBN’ or ‘AAj Tak’ news group. ‘IBN’ has taken it upon itself to malign the name of Sanatan; to show that ‘Aaj Tak’ is one above ‘IBN”, first it showed a ‘sting’ operation against Mr. Pramod Mutalik to defame his name. All pro-Hindu Organziations should have come together at that time only to strongly support Mr. Mutalik. Had the pro-Hindu organizations raised their voice against such fake ‘sting operations’ which are full of hatred, then ‘Headline Today’, the offspring of ‘Aaj Tak’ would not have gone to such an extent.

News telecast based on both the above incidents by ‘Aaj Tak’ channel and their biased views have tarnished the concept of ‘impartial journalism’. It used to be said till now that the media is a mirror of peoples’ feelings; but one cannot say such thing in future.  The media is unable to note the public support drawn by pro-Hindu organizations and activities of such organizations carried out in the interest of the nation and Dharma; the media is unable to openly acknowledge the same. Does it not mean that the media is trying to eliminate something with prejudiced motive?

Beginning of keeping a check on anarchy among media

An editorial was published in ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ dated 9.1.2010 addressed to the mass-media that were busy in deliberately defaming the name of ‘Sanatan Sanstha’; it was titled “Are these media going to compel Hindus to march to their offices?” and now after 6 months, such time has come for Hindus. The question asked by ‘Sanatan’ has been promptly answered by the time. It (Time) has now started to keep a check, through the medium of Hindus, on the anarchy among media which has always propagated against Hindus. Let the Time only now decide what is going to be the end of this beginning!

Thoughts of a devout Hindu

From last several years Hindus are defamed, maligned, and have become  soft-target of biased anti-Hindu Media. Of  late the false allegation on Hindus of  ‘Hindu Terrorism’ is purposefully being circulated and used openly in the publishing news items against Hindus. Now Hindus have show their reaction to this unending campaign against them.

Todays’ so-called media in the most of the cases does not print both the sides of the stories when there are  incidents pertaining to the Hindus. If minorities are  openly attacking  peace-loving Hindus, then such news are deliberately not being published and when there is any reaction to these atrocities, then the  media starts crying against Hindus declaring them cruel, fanatics, terrorists etc.
Presently there is no whatsoever control over Media from any censoring body as a result they are free to publish anything in the name of freedom of speech. Now the Government should establish some board to control this Media and ensure that they provide right information to the public.
