Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra):
The ban on the book titled “Shivaji: A Hindu King in Islamic India”, which has defamatory matter regarding Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Rajmata Jijau, has been lifted by the Supreme Court. Now ‘Oxford University Press’ has informed that the said book would not be distributed by them; however, there is no official ban on this book and the book can be misused for further aligning the names of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Rajamata Jijau, therefore, the book should be banned. A memorandum to the above effect was submitted by Hindu Janajagrutii Samiti (HJS) and members of other pro-Hindu organizations to the District Collector here.
