Forest officer Dr. Prabhunath Shukla (on left) accepting representation from ‘Hindutvavadis’

Kolhapur : Sanjay Leela Bhansali purposely makes films which hurt religious sentiments of Hindus and distorts history. It is understood that in his forthcoming film titled ‘the Legend of Rani Padmavati’, he has shown love affair of Rani Padmavati of Rajasthan and cruel Muslim invader, King Allauddin Khiljee. This film has been strongly opposed by ‘Karani Sena’ of Rajasthan and shooting of the film was not allowed in that State due to such strong opposition. Bhansali is however, shooting for this film at Masai Plateau in Kolhapur, in unauthorized manner, by violating all rules and regulations. Permission should not be granted for shooting of the film ‘the Legend of Rani Padmavati’ since he is trying to distort history. The above demand has been made by all pro-Hindu organizations through a representation submitted to the District Collector at Kolhapur. The representation was accepted by Dy. District Collector Sanjay Shinde. (Congratulations to all pro-Hindu organizations for demanding ban on shooting of a film by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, for his distorting history ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Action will surely be taken if anything wrong happens on our land ! – Forest Officer

Dr. Prabhunath Shukla, the forest officer was given representation. ‘Masai Pathar/Plateau’ is known for its flora and fauna. It is likely that during incident of fire at this place on 15th March 2017, some animals and rare plants might have been destroyed and such loss can never be made good. It is also necessary to verify whether the area falls within the jurisdiction of Forest Department. If the land belongs to Forest Department, how permission was given for shooting. It is wrong to distort history. It is also wrong to use Forest Department’s land for shooting of the film and necessary action should be taken against Bhansali; besides refusing permission for shooting, was the demand made with Dr. Shukla. He promised to ‘Hindutvavadis’ that nothing wrong would be allowed on his department’s land and necessary action would be taken.

Representation given to office of District Superintendent of Police (DSP)

File case against Bhansali under ‘Prevention of Cruelty to animals Act’, for using animals during shooting in illegal manner !

Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali was shooting for his film ‘Padmavati…’ at Masai Plateau near historical Panhalgad in Kolhapur district, violating all rules and regulations. Under ‘Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960’ and ‘Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1970’, it is not permitted to use living animals in a film or a play but Bhansali brought horses and made them work in the film, disregarding all rules and regulations. The serious matter to note here is few people participating in shooting of this film tried to burn down the film-set due to flare-up on the location. Horses present at the location of shooting got seriously injured and could have lost their life. It is like playing with animals’ life; therefore, necessary stringent action should be taken against Bhansali for breach of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and it should be verified whether permission under ‘Performing Animals (Registration) Rules, 2001’ was obtained. The above demands were made by ‘Hindutvavadis’ through representation submitted to DSP’s office.
