Lectures held in Mumbai on the occasion of Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’s Martyr Day
Messages giving misleading information regarding Gudhi Padava, countered
Mumbai : True history about Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is not being taught through text books, therefore, there is ignorance amongst people about his valour, his sacrificing life for protection of Dharma etc. Aurangzeb, who had tortured Maharaj before killing, is remembered because of a district named after him. There is no political will among rulers to even change that name. Aurangzeb brutally killed many Hindu kings besides Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and still Aurangzeb is glorified in history text books studied by our students in schools. After few years, therefore, people will forget that there was a brave king like Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in Maharashtra. To avoid this, Martyr Day of Chhatarapti Sambhaji Maharaj should be celebrated every year and on such occasion, sacrifices made by him for Dharma should be remembered. His sacrifice should inspire ‘mawlas’ to get ready for establishment of Hindu Rashtra, was the appeal made to all Hindus by every speaker of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) in programs held to commemorate Martyr Day of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj at Bhandup, Ghatkopar and Nalasopara where HJS speakers were invited for lecture.
Since past few years, as Gudhi Padava approaches, few anti-Hindu organizations start sending messages like ‘Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was killed by Brahmins based on the principles of ‘Manu-smruti’; Gudhi Padava started to be celebrated by all Brahmins after killing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj’ etc thus misleading people. Such messages, sent only out of hatred for Brahmins and in support of fanatic Aurangzeb, are prepared to mislead Hindus and the speakers also explained how such false accusations should be countered.
Bhandup
Today, there is dire need to worship ‘Dharma-Tej’ like Sambhaji Maharaj ! – Harshad Khanavilkar
Owing to the bravery shown and sacrifices made by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, we are able to live as Hindus today; else we would have been reading ‘namaz’. Today, therefore, there is dire need to worship ‘Dharma-Tej’ like Sambhaji Maharaj, stated Shri. Harshad Khanavilkar of HJS.
A silent march carrying ‘Dharmaveer flame’ was taken out by Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan from ‘Samadhi-sthal’ of Maharaj. Many pro-Hindu organizations, besides HJS, participated in the silent march. An appeal was made on the occasion to take benefit of ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes conducted by HJS.

Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj has become immortal by sacrificing for protection of Dharma ! – Diptesh Patil
Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj wrote a book titled ‘Buddhi-bhushan’ at the age of 16 wherein he has said, ‘One, who sacrifices Dharma for selfish interests, loses all value of his life; but one, who sacrifices his life for Dharma, can be considered as immortal’. Sambhaji Maharaj sacrificed his life for Dharma and has truly become immortal, said Shri. Diptesh Patil of HJS.
Come together remembering sacrifice and bravery shown by Dharmaveer Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ! – Abhayji Jagatap, ‘Sahakar Bharati’ Convener, Mumbai Mahanagar
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj taught us how to live as a Hindu and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj taught us how to die as a Hindu. Shambhuraje became Chhatrapati at the age of 23 and in 9 years he won 125 battles. Today, on this holy land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Hindu women, ‘Goumata’ and Hindus’ temples, which are the seats of strength of Hindus, are attacked. Such attacks should be squashed and Hindus should therefore, unite for establishment of ‘Hindavi Swaraj’.
Martyr Day of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was jointly observed as ‘Dharmaraksha Din’ by ‘Sahakar Bharati’ and HJS at Lohar lane ground, Sopara Gaon, Bhandar Lane. A lecture was arranged on the occasion and 100 people attended the same.
