Kalyan (Maharashtra): A memorandum was submitted on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to Mr. Nitin Chavan, the Tehsildar demanding prevention of denigration of National Flag. National flags made of plastic are used on 15th August and these flags are, later, thrown on the roads. It is necessary to stop denigration of our National Flags occurring in such manner. In view of the same, HJS submitted a memorandum.

It has been mentioned in the memorandum that ‘The Government has issued a circular in this regard; but sale of plastic National Flags is not yet stopped. It is a punishable offence to sell such flags.’ Tehsildar Mr. Nitin Chavan said that the drive undertaken by HJS was very good and he would send the memorandum to the Chief Minister. The memorandum was submitted by Mr. Pramod Joshi, the spokesperson of ‘Hindu Mahasabha’, Mr. Vedraj Joshi along with Mr. Ajay Sambhus and Mrs. Bhakti Gailad of HJS.
