Shiv Sainiks beat up a seller for denigrating Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Vasai (Maharashtra): It was observed that eatables were served in paper plates that has a  picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Vasai. The supplier of these plates was beaten up by the Shiv Sainiks and a complaint has also been lodged with the police against him.

In a shop called ‘Ambica Farsan Mart’ in Virar (West), paper plates with the picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj were used to serve eatables. People throw these plates in the dust bin after eating. On learning about the matter, Mr. Dilip Pimple, the city-chief of Shiv Sena, Mr. Avinash Chaudhary its former municipal councilor along with Rahul Dhuri, Uday Jadhav, Jaisingh Thakur, Girish Raul etc. raided the shop. When the owner of the shop was asked that from where he had obtained such paper-plates, he divulged that the plates were purchased from ‘Mahavir Plastics’ in Vasai. The Shiv Sainiks then visited that shop and its owner, Vishwambhar Jha was beaten up. A complaint has also been lodged against the seller and the objectionable paper plates were confiscated.

The owner Vishwanbhar Jha informed that he had purchased the plates from wholesale market in Ulhasnagar. The Police Inspector Bagvan has promised that the person who printed such picture of Shivaji Maharaj would be traced and action would be taken.
