Ponda (Goa): Corruption and immorality are rampant these days and have reached the zenith. Politicians are encouraging immoral trade. There is news of the Home Minister’s son being involved in the drug trade. When the Legislative Assembly was in session, the members of the opposition demanded that a thorough investigation be conducted in the drugs issue. However, today investigations are conducted, not of the drug nexus of politicians but of Hindu organizations like Sanatan Sanstha, said Mr. Shivaprasad Joshi, Goa State President of the Hindu Mahasabha. He was expressing his views as speaker at the Hindu Sanghatan Melava organized by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti on 12th August 2010 at the Rakhumai Mandap, Upper Bazaar, Ponda.

Mr. Niranjan Chodankar of the HJS was also present on the dais at this time. The program started with lighting of the auspicious lamp (deep) at the hands of Mr. Shivaprasad Joshi. A documentary on ‘How to practice Dharma in day-to-day life’, a play ‘15th August 2012’ and self defence tactics were also shown. The program was concluded with singing of the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’.
