1. Loss to children : Some parents send their children abroad for education and proudly say, ‘our child is in America’. They do not realize that sending the child abroad has repercussions over several births. The reasons as follows:
a. Though India is a developing country, it is the most sattvik country compared to others. The child living abroad is living in non-sattvik surroundings.
b. Non-sattvik surroundings lead to many bad Sanskars.
c. The child is bereft of spiritual practice. As a result of which he is unaware of the ultimate aim of the very human life viz. – to be one with God.
d. The son lives abroad even after education since he gets a better salary there. After marriage, even his children grow up in the same raja & tama dominated environment. Thus, many generations suffer through this.
e. Since they are ignorant about their duties towards their birth place, they do not follow their duty towards their motherland.
2. Loss to parents: No one is immortal, parents also die some or the other day. However, the children living abroad are unaware of the Shraddha-paksha and since they also do not have any means to carry out these customs, they don’t perform them. As a result, the deceased parents are deprived of the benefits of Shradha. Besides, their children also do not get liberated from their duties towards their parents and ancestors (Pitru-run).
