HJS demands to stop denigration of Sri Shiva by ‘Times Group’

There is denigration of Sri Shiva and Sri Ganesh through a video, advertising ‘A Day in the life of India’ by ‘Times of India’. The defamatory video is also shown on ‘Times Now’ channel. The video has degraded Sri Shiva as it has been shown that Sri Shiva is drinking tea, talking on mobile and merry making in the fair with people. Sri Shiva is highly revered Hindu Deity and is worshiped by billions of Hindus worldwide. Times of India is intentionally defaming Hindu Deities and Icons constantly. It is duty of all Hindus to protest lawfully against Times of India, so that it should stop denigration of Hindu Dharma and it should also render apology to all Hindus for hurting their religious sentiments. Also Hindus should boycott ‘Times of India’ Newspaper and ‘Times Now’ channel until it stops denigration and apologise to Hindus for the same.

Subject : Request to stop denigration of Hindu God Lord Mahadev in your TV advertisement “A day in the life of India contest” given on your TV channel “Times Now.”

Dear Sir,

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is registered NGO doing social, religious and National welfare work. Samiti is active throughout India and educating people about Dharma in scientific way, campaigning against malpractices done under religious practices during Navratri, Ganeshossav, Holi, etc. Educating and stopping denigration of Hindu deities in plays, movies or advertisements and solving problems connected with National, Religious and social field.

It has been observed and brought to our notice that in the advertisement of your campaign “A day in the life of India contest “Hindu God Lord Shiv has been degraded and insulted by showing HIM drinking tea, talking on mobile and merry making in the fair with other people. This advt is broadcast all the time on your TV channel “Times Now”. It amounts to insult the religious sentiments of thousands of devotees of Shiv ji .

It has been noticed that you are intentionally attacking Hindu religion and its faith time and again by various campaigns, advertisements and articles in your news paper and TV channel,” Times Now”.

You are requested to stop this mockery, denigration of Hindu faith, Hindu religion and Hindu deities for commercial use and cheap publicity. You are requested to immediately withdraw the advisement on your TV channel “Times Now “which shows Lord Shivji in denigrating manner failing which there will be strong protest from all the proud Hindus and Hindu orgnisations.

Please acknowledge the receipt of this letter and action taken in the above matter.
